1 Day Wireless Seminar
ABOUT THE COURSE
AMS’s one-day Wireless Technology training seminar will provide an understanding of the use of wireless applications in nuclear power plants including EMI/RFI considerations, exclusion zones, mobile workforce implications, and a review of applicable regulatory guidance and related operating experience.

The seminar will be held in Knoxville, Tennessee on Monday, June 25th, 2018 and will be hosted at the AMS training facility. Registration will begin at 8:30 AM.

The seminar will also coincide with the ISA’s Power Industry Division Symposium, providing the opportunity to attend both events during the same week. The POWID Symposium will be held June 26 – 28 at the University of Tennessee Conference Center. More information regarding the ISA symposium can be found at:

WHO SHOULD ATTEND
This course is designed to be beneficial for plant system and design engineers, Engineer of Choice (EOC) firms, system vendors, digital I&C designers, and other personnel involved with the implementation of wireless systems in nuclear power plants for equipment condition monitoring, electronic work packages, and other applications..

Mr. Kiger is the EMC Engineering Manager at AMS and has been involved in the evaluation and installation of wireless technologies in numerous nuclear facilities. He has helped author numerous technical reports for EPRI, IEC, and IAEA dealing with the implementation of wireless technologies in nuclear power plants. He is also the chair or co-chair of several industry standards, including:

  • IEC 62003, “Nuclear Power Plants—Instrumentation and Control Important to Safety—Requirements for Electromagnetic Compatibility Testing”
